ML-GPS

The Canary Systems® MLGPS® integrates a multi-function GPS module into a turnkey power control, battery charging and communications platform, specifically designed for geotechnical and structural monitoring applications. It is available in two cost-effective variants: a portable version for quick deployments, and a fixed version for permanent deployments. All MLGPS units feature a NEMA rated enclosure including battery and solar panel.
MLGPS uses differential GPS to achieve its high precision. The precision GPS receiver is able to track GPS L1 and GLONASS L1 signals. An optional upgrade allows for additional constellations such as Galileo, BeiDou-3, QZSS, and IRNSS, as well as expansion up to 555 channels. Precisions range from 2.5 mm (0.1 in) to 25 mm (1 in).
MLBase

The MLBase™ is a communications base station for the MLRemote® wireless datalogging system. The MLBase provides for queuing all inbound and outbound data communications with MLRemote.
Network communication options for the MLBase include both Wi-Fi and Cellular integration. The MLBase offers long-distance communications and low power in a small form factor when paired with the MLRemote. Low-data rate communications of up to 15 kilometers (9 miles) is achievable, and up to 100 kilometers (60 miles) with the use of gain antennas.

Three industry standard communication interfaces are included: RS-232, RS-485 and SDI-12. The RS-232 interface provides compatibility with a wide range of standard wireless adaptors and modems including those from Digi International and Freewave, facilitating the deployment of cost-effective networks of wireless sensors.
The RS-485 interface allows an inexpensive, reliable wired network to be built using simple twisted pair cabling. Up to 61 nodes are supported in a wired network, with up to 1200m (4000’) of cabling. The network can be easily extended with RS-485 repeaters.
The vibrating wire interface consists of a precision differential amplifier with band-pass filtering, which improves noise rejection and measurement reliability. The excitation and measurement parameters are programmable to support all commonly used vibrating wire instruments. Reading output can be programmed for digits (Hz^2×10–³), frequency (Hz) or period (μS).

The MLTDR-P is field-configurable for Cable Channel, Cable Length and Cable Velocity (Vp).
A 12AHr lead-acid battery provides power, recharging is accomplished via the power port on the side of the reader and a supplied charging cable. Communications are provided via RS232 interface through the supplied cable. There is an optional Bluetooth interface available, on request.
