VW DISPLACEMENT GAUGE VWDT-5000
Geosense® VWDT-5000 series of vibrating wire displacement transducers cover displacement ranges up to 300mm and are fully waterproof to a minimum of IP68 (16 bar external pressure). They can be incorporated into many displacement products such as crack and joint meters, convergence meters, soil extensometers and displacement meters.
Categories: Geo-Structural Instruments, Joint and Crack meters
Description
VWDT-5000 transducers are particularly rugged, and are carefully constructed and thermally aged to minimise long term drift and changes in calibration. The gauges will withstand demanding environmental factors encountered in Civil Engineering construction sites such as tunnels and piling applications.
The data from the VWDT-5000 can be monitored by means of a portable read-out unit or connected to a data logger and distributed if required by telemetry.
Vibrating wire instruments output a frequency signal, and are therefore insensitive to resistance changes in connecting cables caused by contact resistance or leakage to ground. Cable may be readily and simply extended on site without special precautions. Gauges may be read up to 1000 metres away from their installed location, without change in calibration.
Instruments may be read by any commercially available Vibrating wire readout system operating on either the pluck pulse or swept frequency excitation principle, provided that these units operate over the frequency range of the instruments. In addition, these instruments can be data-logged by a variety of data-loggers equipped with vibrating wire excitation modules including Campbell Scientific and Datataker units.
Units are supplied with a M6 female threaded connection on the measuring plunger.

IPX IN-PLACE EXTENSOMETER
In stock
Rated 0 out of 5
The In-Place Extensometer (IPX) offers automated monitoring of standard magnetic extensometer installations. The system is designed for a simple, adaptable installation with a single cable connection at the top of the borehole. Its large measurement range accommodates large levels of settlement or heave, and ease of adjustment means it can be reconfigured for changed site conditions such as embankment filling or cutting.
VWPHT-3600 SERIES
In stock
Rated 0 out of 5
The VWPHT-3600 series High Temperature Piezometers are suitable for the extreme environments of temperature and pressure found within applications such as geothermal heat and enhanced oil recovery systems including steam assisted gravity drainage (SAGD) and cyclic steam stimulation (CSS). They are capable of monitoring high temperatures up to 250°C and pressures up to 34.5 MPa.
STRAIN GAUGE PIEZOMETER SGP-3400 SERIES
In stock
Rated 0 out of 5
The SGP-3400 Series of strain gauge piezometers are designed for monitoring soil pore pressure or changes in water level and are also suitable for dynamic monitoring such as pumping tests.
They are accurate, highly-reliable and suitable for use in the harsh environments often found within civil engineering including water wells, boreholes, dams, reservoirs, rivers, tanks or any other body of water.
NANO TRIAXIAL TILT SENSOR

Rated 0 out of 5
The Nano range uses the same core platform as our other tilt sensors, so it can deliver a similar level of performance and reliability, all in a small and robust enclosure. Nanos have been successfully used in many applications, including:
- Tunnel distortion
- Tunnel heave/settlement
- Embankment slippage (used in conjunction with stake mounts)
- Structural movement
- Rail track heave/settlement
- Rail trackbed cant and twist

PENDULUM SYSTEM

HPS-3500 (Hanging) and IPS-3000 (Inverted) Pendulums are used to measure the tilt or rotation by measuring the relative internal horizontal displacement of points along a true vertical line. Each has a tensioned, stainless steel wire and the effects of the earth gravitational forces to guarantee a perfectly vertical line between a fixed point and a tensioning mechanism. Typical applications include concrete dams, bridges and high rise buildings.
HUMIDITY & CORROSION (CorroDec®2G)

Rated 0 out of 5
The structural infrastructure must always meet requirements such as performance, stability and durability. These requirements will have a lasting effect on our mobility in the future. The corrosion risk and the corrosion activity of the reinforcing steel largely define these requirements and are determined by various impact and material parameters.
MAGNETIC EXTENSOMETER GXM RANGE
In stock
Rated 0 out of 5
The GEO-XM settlement system is a magnet extensometer system used typically to monitor settlement and heave in foundations, excavations and embankments.
Data received identifies the depth and position where settlement has occurred as well as the total amount of settlement.
It can also be installed behind retaining structures, such as sheet piles and slurry walls, and above underground openings, such as tunnels and shafts.
